My name is Sara Hudson and I’m a Biology BS and Chemistry BA major. I’m originally from Northern Virginia, and plan to do research in that area after I graduate. I currently work in Dr. Patrick Brennwald‘s Lab in the UNC School of Medicine Department of Cell Biology and Physiology, where I study exocytotic proteins in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I am preparing a thesis presentation on my work, which I will present during the John Koeppe Undergraduate Honors Research Symposium on March 30th. My long-term goals are to either attend the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and earn a PharmD or go to graduate school for cell biology or genetics.
